We Are The World 2
The year was 1985. My family and I recently moved here in the United States of America. My family moved here in the land of opportunity to start over. At that particular time, our country the Philippines were under the Power of Ex-President Ferdinand Marcos. Who declared “Martial Law”. Our beautiful country was in CHAOS and it was not safe to live there. That is why we came to the U.S.A.
The reason I shared that with you was because that was the very first time I heard the song “We Are The World”. I’m a big fan of many artists in the 80’s. My opinion the best songs was created back in the 80’s. That’s just my opinion. I can remember how I would hear the song “We Are The World” on the radio and on VH1. You guys know about VH1, right? LOL. I know it’s old school.
I was driving around today with my best friend, Billy. And we were listening to “We Are The World 2″. As I was listening and viewing to the song on his cell phone, I began having mix feeling of sadness and happiness. I felt sadness because of the thousands of people lost their lives on the earthquake. I felt happiness because we are so fortunate living here in the United States of America.
In closing, I am asking everyone that are reading this post to at least consider donating to this particular cause. Take this time to give to the people in Haiti. There are many websites on the internet that you can donate to the cause. It’s time for us to come together and help the people that are in need.
